Widespread winter storm warnings have been issued across the Midwest on Thursday ahead of the significant storm.

The colder air will even lead to scattered light snow showers late Monday into Monday night. The chance of snow will continue through Tuesday.

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)- Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight, with a slight chance of snow towards dawn, between 5:00-8:00 in the morning. Temperatures drop near 24 degrees. Winds remain calm overnight.

Temperatures will not tumble too far Monday. Overnight lows will be in the lower to mid 50s, which is still 10 degrees above the normal high for this time of year.
