Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani praised Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski, who struck out 12 over six innings in a 3–1 win over Los Angeles.

Shohei Ohtani officially holds another Los Angeles Dodgers record. He has hit more home runs before the All-Star break than any player in franchise history. Cody Bellinger previously held the record, having gone deep 30 times before the break in his MVP 2019 season. But on Tuesday night, Ohtani launched his 31st homer of the season.

Misiorowski, whose fastball routinely tops 100 mph, threw an 88 mph curveball on an 0-2 count to the Los Angeles Dodgers’ two-way superstar, who crushed it for his 31st homer of the season. That’s the most by a Dodgers player before the All-Star break. It was the 21st career leadoff homer for Ohtani.
