PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Paul Skenes has been listed among the top five starting pitchers in all of Major League Baseball in a new ranking. Skenes is currently listed as the 4th best pitcher right now, according to a new ranking on MLB.com that lists the top ten starting pitchers in the league.

Champ Stutts, from Texas, was able to find a "one of one" Skenes Onyx card. This is not the signed Skenes 1/1 Rookie Debut Patch card that the Pirates are offering a ransom for.

Skenes was the overall first pick by Pittsburgh in the 2023 MLB Draft and made his debut in May 2024. The Louisiana State alumnus went 11-3 with a 1.96 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 170 strikeouts as a starter during his rookie year. The Pirates went 76-86 and ended fifth in the National League Central.
