While it seems very unlikely to happen, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report recently compiled a massive five-team mock trade that would land the Mavericks LeBron James. Here’s Pincus’ proposed trade:

There are a lot of connections between James and the Mavericks. He's been teammates and won championships with Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis, played against Klay Thompson in a few NBA Finals, played under Jason Kidd and Frank Vogel on the Lakers in 2020, and knows Nico Harrison from Harrison's days at Nike.

In an NBA that saw Luka Dončić traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, it's increasingly difficult to write off the most outlandish trade concepts.
