Senior AAP leader Atishi was administered oath as the eighth Chief Minister of Delhi by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Saturday. Saxena administered the oath of office and secrecy to Atishi. She was chosen as the leader of the legislature party earlier this week,

Atishi, accompanied by AAP leaders, met former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ahead of her swearing-in ceremony. She was chosen as the legislature party leader following Kejriwal's resignation.

Atishi has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi, becoming India’s 17th female CM. She takes charge alongside a new council of ministers, marking AAP’s fourth consecutive term in the national capital.

Along with Atishi, five cabinet ministers -- four from the previous ministry and a new face -- were also sworn in during the ceremony. Atishi’s new council of ministers includes Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain, and new entrant Mukesh Ahlawat, a first-time MLA from Sultanpur Majra.

Atishi took oath as Chief Minister of Delhi today along with five other ministers who will be a part of her Cabinet. She is the youngest leader to hold the top post in Delhi.
