We have reached the last weekend of the Australian Open, with the champions for 2025 being decided. On Friday, Aussie duo Olivia Gadecki and John Peers emerged victorious to take out the mixed doubles event.

Italian Jannik Sinner on Sunday won a second straight Australian Open, 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-3, over Germany’s Alexander Zverev. The 23-year-old dropped only two sets during the year’s first major tournament and earned $2.

Both stars earned more than £1.6million for their successes, but the prize fund has been increased this time around. It follows tournament organisers announcing the overall prize pot was being increased to £49m, an 11.56 per cent increase on last year.
