Fires ignited in Pacific Palisades, Sylmar, Altadena and Hollywood Hills, forcing thousands to evacuate amid a life-threatening and destructive windstorm slamming Southern California.
A fast-moving brush fire that started at 6:23 p.m. on Tuesday quickly burned more than 200 acres near Eaton Canyon in Altadena near the Pasadena border, according to Angeles National Forest officials.
