The Paramount Plus Essential and Premium plans each went up $1. The ad-supported Essential version increased to $9, and the ad-free Premium version rose to $14. The option to prepay for a year of streaming now costs $90 for Essential and $140 for Premium, up from $60 per year for Essential and $120 per year for Premium.

The cost of streaming television is getting more expensive, and there isn’t much consumers can do about it. “Stream-flation” is affecting families’ budgets.
