SEGA and Gamefam revealed this week that the two have partnered up to bring Sonic The Hedgehog over to Roblox for a special event.

Sega of America partners with developer Gamefam to create Sonic Speed Simulator, an officially licensed Sonic the Hedgehog game available on Roblox.

The Lego Group is bringing three weeks of challenges, quests and exclusive rewards to Sega’s Sonic Speed Simulator in August.

Gamefam is a global company that makes Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite games and content — typically for major brands like Sonic the Hedgehog, the NFL, Hot Wheels, and plenty more.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is now the highest-grossing video game movie of all time in the US, surpassing the 2020 Sonic movie for the title. As for Roblox, it remains massively popular.
