A waning athletics stadium is set to be ditched and a leisure centre closed as part of a council’s cost-cutting plans.

After successfully hosting the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games swimming and diving events, the Sandwell Aquatics Centre has been transformed into a state-of-the-art leisure facility.
