Newcastle United are to consult with their supporters on “refining and reviving” their current club crest. The club have launched a consultation process with fans via an independently run survey aimed at seeking advice on how they can modernise their badge.

Newcastle United supporters have expressed their concern at the Premier League club's decision on Friday to consult a section of the fanbase regarding their plans to change the club's iconic crest which has been in use for 37 years.

Newcastle have had the same club badge since the 1980s but are now looking at updating the crest to ensure it translates to the "digital age" - with supporters set to be consulted over the new design
