House Republicans are calling for billions of dollars in funding cuts for Biden-era climate and environmental programs, including clean energy tax credits, as lawmakers seek to reverse what one GOP leader called “the most reckless parts of the engorged climate spending" approved under former President Joe Biden.
“Congress has to stop repeating history — we know that keeping wind and solar credits in this bill will drain taxpayers, offshore American jobs, and prevent American energy dominance,” said Rep. Josh Brecheen, R-Okla. “President Trump has been clear: it’s time to end the Green New Scam.”
Clean energy tax credits have fueled a surge of geothermal projects in K-12 schools across the nation — which may be under threat if the credits are repealed.
