The governor of California has tapped three of Los Angeles's most influential people to lead the fire recovery initiative.

Los Angeles Dodgers minority owner Magic Johnson and Dodgers chairman Mark Walter are part of a private-sector group that California Governor Gavin Newsom has tapped to lead a nine-figure raise to support Los Angeles wildfire relief.

Led by Magic Johnson, Casey Wasserman and Dodgers Chairman Mark Walter, the mandate is to create "a unified recovery initiative," raise money & recruit others.
