You can move pictures to an SD card using a PC, Mac, or Android phone, as long as you have the right card and equipment.
My plan is to mount the phone on my mac, and copy everything in the SD card to my computer. Unmount, remove the old card, plug in the new card, and then copy everything from step 1 to the new card.
