Experts from Costa Rica discuss accountability for the deaths of dozens of sloths at the failed Sloth World attraction.

Dumpling was one of the 13 sloths rescued from unopened attraction Sloth World and transferred to the Central Florida Zoo.

Sloth World, a new attraction on Orlando’s I-Drive that was announced last year, imported dozens of the South American mammals, several of which are now dead.

Newly obtained records by Orange County Community Correspondent, Jayna Manohalal, show another 21 sloths died while under the care of Sloth World, bringing the total number of known sloth deaths connected to the facility to 55.

A Central Florida Zoo official said improper long-term nutrition likely contributed to the decline in health among rescued sloths, including Habanero and Bandit, who have since passed away.
