Linda Yaccarino, whom Elon Musk hired to run X in 2023, grappled with the challenges the company faced after Mr. Musk took over.
The CEO of X, Linda Yaccarino, said on Wednesday she would step down from the role in a surprise move, ending her tenure at the Elon Musk-owned social media platform that has faced several controversies and challenges including a mass exodus of advertisers from the site.
Elon Musk's X has taken the automated account for Grok, its AI chatbot, offline after it spent Tuesday afternoon pushing antisemitic narratives.
We are aware of posts made by Grok and are actively working to remove the inappropriate posts,” Musk's company said.
Linda Yaccarino is stepping down as CEO of X after two years running the company, she announced today. She was appointed its CEO in the year after Elon Musk bought and renamed the company previously known as Twitter — so far, there is no word on who will replace her.
