Forecasters say Tropical Storm Sara has formed in the Caribbean Sea and was expected to cause life-threatening flash flooding and mudslides across portions of Central America, including Honduras

The National Hurricane Center is also asking residents of the eastern Gulf Coast, including Florida, to monitor the storm closely since it has the potential to reach the US.

The storm will slow down as it passes by Honduras, contributing to dangerous floods along the country's northern coast.
