Topeka sees record snowfall levels
The snowfall in Topeka is making history. According to 27 News Meteorologist Matt Miller, Topeka saw the most snow in one storm since 1993 on Sunday. As of 6:30 a.m. on
Topeka has had 12 inches of snow with more anticipated before stopping about 6 p.m.
Topeka is under a blizzard warning until midnight. The National Weather Service is predicting heavy snow and widespread blowing snow throughout Sunday. The high temperature will be near 20 degrees with wind chill values between -3 degrees and 4 degrees. The north wind will be about 20-25 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 40 miles per hour.
