Sunderland are just shy of breaking the record for the biggest-spending newly promoted team in Premier League history, with Sunday's arrival of Nordi Mukiele taking their overall spend to around £141.

Sunderland sign France defender Nordi Mukiele from Paris St Germain for an initial 11m euros (£9.5) plus 3m euros (£2.5m) in add-ons to take their summer spending to around £141.5m.
