Former Rep. Abigail Spanberger’s (D-Va.) gubernatorial campaign rolled out an ad Wednesday focused on lowering costs in Virginia, marking less than one month before early voting kicks off ahead of November’s elections.

The first debate for governor appears set as Democrat Abigail Spanberger joined Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears in accepting an Oct. 9 debate at Norfolk State University. Earle-Sears’ campaign had accepted the debate on Thursday.
