Texas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien was not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays after a hit-by-pitch forced him to take a rare day off. Semien will undergo X-rays Saturday afternoon after Toronto right-hander Chris Bassitt hit him on the right wrist with a sinker in the second inning of Friday’s 6-5 loss.

A couple of AL squads open up a three-game series on Friday, Aug. 15 when the Toronto Blue Jays host the Texas Rangers at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
