For the second game in a row, the PWHL Finals saw overtime. However, thanks to a couple of goals from Britta Curl-Salemme, the Minnesota Frost were able to come away with a 2-1 win this time, evening the series at a game apiece.

For Ottawa, the series opener was yet another one-goal game. The Charge have now won 13 one-goal games, the most in the PWHL.

Ottawa took Game 1 of the PWHL Finals in dramatic fashion, beating the Minnesota Frost 2–1 in overtime at TD Place to take an early 1–0 lead in the series.
