Rep. Don Bacon defended Trump's $4 trillion tax bill, arguing its middle-class benefits while addressing GOP concerns over Medicaid cuts and mounting deficit fears.

After weeks of deliberation, the Senate passed its version of the Trump tax bill on Tuesday. In the approved package, there are several major changes to Medicaid, which would lead to deeper spending cuts than the version passed by the House.

The bill in Congress also would narrow the group of immigrants with legal status who can receive tax credits to purchase health insurance on the federal marketplace.
