West Ham have rejected a £50 million ($69m) bid from Tottenham for midfielder Mohammed Kudus, a source has told ESPN.

David Ornstein writes in The Athletic that Tottenham Hotspur had a formal bid of £50m REJECTED by West Ham United for the purchase of Mohammed Kudus. This comes on the heels of, uh, less reputable sources that say that Chelsea have expressed interest in Kudus.

Tottenham are planning to make an improved bid for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus, but there is competition for his signature. The Hammers are open to selling the 24-year-old, who has a release clause of £85m. Spurs have seen a bid of £50m rejected for the former Ajax star, but believe they can get their man for less than his release clause.
