The former Jets interim coach became embroiled in a national controversy after his son participated in a prank call to Shedeur Sanders during last month's NFL draft.

The Falcons said Jeff Ulbrich didn’t know about the prank until after it happened. Both Jeff and Jax apologized, and Jax called his actions “inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful.” The NFL said the fines were given because private information was not properly protected.
