Former Purdue superstar and current Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey released an uplifting message on social media after suffering a season-ending injury.

Jaden Ivey underwent surgery Thursday morning to repair a broken fibula in his left leg, the Detroit Pistons announced. The third-year guard will be re-evaluated in four weeks — opening a window for him to return before the end of the season.

Malik Beasley and Ausar Thompson could see their roles increase. Detroit also could look to add at the trade deadline.
