Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed victory over his arch-foe Iran, but the war with a much smaller and stubborn adversary in Hamas drags on. And Netanyahu is facing renewed pressure to end it.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that Israel had achieved a historic victory that would stand for generations, but it must complete its campaign against Iran's axis, defeat Hamas and bring about the return of all the hostages in Gaza.

Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to bask in the glow of Israel’s military success in Iran. Now he must turn his attention back to Gaza, a war in which the major strategic victories are far harder to find.
