Google on Thursday launched a dedicated Gemini app for the iPhone, giving its marquee virtual helper a bigger role on Apple's smartphone. That also means you'll be able to use Gemini Live, the more conversational version of Gemini, on the iPhone for the first time.

As announced at the end of last month, Gemini’s Google Home Extension is now seeing wider availability this week. Opening Gemini > Extensions in the Gemini for Android and look for “Google Home” and its green “Public Preview” label. (It is not appearing on the web or iOS.)

Phone users can download the Gemini app, Google’s AI assistant, from the App Store globally. This new, free app lets iPhone users interact with Gemini for help with everything from creative brainstorming to study assistance.
