The former Big Brother host had a benign tumour removed last year and has spoken about the 'enormous sympathy' she now has for those living with similar conditions.

Davina McCall has given her first official interview since her brain tumor diagnosis and surgery. The presenter, campaigner and former Women's Health cover star had a benign brain tumour called a colloid cyst, and underwent treatment in November.

Davina McCall has opened up about the steps she took before undergoing brain surgery in the event that she wouldn’t make it. The TV presenter, 57, went under the knife last autumn to remove a rare colloid cyst, a condition that doctors warned her could lead to her developing epiliepsy, suffering a stroke, or even sudden death.

Davina McCall broke down in tears in her first interview since having brain surgery. The 57-year-old presenter underwent the procedure last November for a benign tumour and was overcome with emotion when discussing the terrifying ordeal with 'Dragon's Den' star Steven Bartlett.

When asked about when her and Michael spoke about death, Davina said "quickly", as the doctors had warned her about "stroke, epilepsy" and "nicking an artery or a blood vessel in the brain and having a bleed" being a risk during surgery.
