It’s a full gallery of characters on display, from a retired (temporarily) Matt Murdoch to a now-mayor, still-violent Kingpin. We also see the return of Foggy and Karen, who were originally cut, and maybe even killed offscreen, when the first draft of this show was written, and eventually thrown out. Thank god.

For all that I’m enjoying the post-holiday comfort of 2025’s TV premieres and midseason returns, it all feels like a lengthy preamble to one of the biggest debuts of the year: Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again.
