Coldplay is returning to India for a concert after 9 years. The British band is set to perform at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on January 18 and 19 next year, with tickets set to go on sale on BookMyShow tomorrow.

They were originally called Big Fat Noises, and then Starfish, before settling with Coldplay. Their best known songs include Yellow, Viva La Vida and Fix You and they are considered a bucket list band to see live due to the atmosphere they create.

Coldplay previously performed in India in 2016 as a part of the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. The band, which was established in 1997, consists of vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer and percussionist Will Champion.

Coldplay has announced their concert in India as part of their Spheres World Tour 2025. The Coldplay band will perform in Mumbai in January 2025 with two shows at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18 and 19.
