This is a good destination trip if you're interested in outer space or the stars. By necessity, the observatory is remote, with little or no internet reception, at a high elevation, and run by friend… Full review by WendyHappiness1

I'm trying to get tickets for the special viewing night on the 82" telescope for December the 7th, 2024. The area is greyed out with no information. Please advise.

Can I drive up to the observatory even though I have no reservation

No. You can drive up to the visitors center ( not really worth it ), but cannot drive up to the observatory due to “COVID restrictions”. Unfortunately, still very COVID phobic !!
