Well worth the drive. About 10-15 minutes from Monument Valley itself. Best to go in the morning so the sunlight shines onto the buttes in the background. We went in winter, when it was pretty cold.…Full review by gibosity

According to their website, all Navajo Nation parks are still "closed until further notice." That would include attractions like Monument Valley, the Four Corners Monument and Antelope Canyon. You can still visit Forrest Gump Point as it is not part of the Navajo Nation park system.
With the closure of Monument Valley this year, is Forrest Gump Point still accessible? Planning to make the trip there, but want to make sure before heading to this spot.

Yes, it's just a spot along the road so it won't close. It sits outside the Tribal Park.
There is a pretty wide shoulder on either side of the road to safely park. The only thing is to be vigilant about cars traveling in either direction. The speed limit is 65 mph, and the locals do not slow down for tourists. Keep your head on a swivel for traffic, and have fun. The pictures are worth it.
