Is there somewhere safe to leave backpacks whilst doing the tour? We are planning to do this on our way down from Ubud to Seminyak so we will have our main backpacks with us. Thank you.

Yes, they provide a locker for gear - the place was very quiet when we went basically had it to ourselves and the staff are lovely and trustworthy

We went in early March. I don't think life jackets are available. I am a swimmer, but I'm only 5'3" and the water was well over my head with an extremely strong current. Our guide had to …
We went in early March. I don't think life jackets are available. I am a swimmer, but I'm only 5'3" and the water was well over my head with an extremely strong current. Our guide had to hold my arm in a vice grip so as not to be carried away in the current.
Can we go in our own to the canyon? Or do you have to take a guide ??

Don’t think it is allowed - if you hurt yourself there, they would have the responsibility of helping you, while it is much easier to prevent an accident if you go with a guide
