We love this lake! It’s quite, but yet a fun place to go boating, tubing, skiing. The water is sooo clear! I don’t recommend this lake at all! It’s just for us……jk Full review by shrtcake1

The staff was kind, but not super knowledgeable in terms of suggestions where to fish, etc. The boat, while clean, was full of cobwebs which we had to clean off ourselves. We didn't end up catching… Full review by ColoradoTravelsWorld
Looking for a waterfront campsite (tent only) from which we can swim and/or put kayaks in the water (translation: step out of tent, walk 10 paces and be knee-deep in the lake dragging my boat out to deeper water) Also prefer to be far enough away from the next group of campers that we're not participating in each other's conversations. Are the walk-in sites at Stockton State Park the best option or is there somewhere better?

Sorry, we rented cabins down by the dam. We did check out the campground and there was a walk-in area that looked real nice. You can bring your boat right up to the site, like you mentioned, and a few sites even had ample room for hammocks. They were shaded sites and just by looking at them, I'd choose them. West Campground is where it was.
