KEEP IT G RATED . It’s a family beach. You can swim- it’s a bit clay like sand, but more of an exploration of the trees that lay all along the shoreline.

If you are referring to Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island it is not a state or national park so technically I think you could collect driftwood. Personally I would not as it is such a unique place and it should be left as you found it for the next person. I think other visitors will give you a hard time as well due to how amazing this place is. Perhaps it is best to pick driftwood somewhere else.
