The staff was really friendly and the price was minimal. We were expecting more information and historical references regarding the Civil Rights Movement and were severely disappointed. While it touc… Full review by packerbeer

Absolutely fantastic museum. Especially for how compact it is - 45 minutes will get you through the totality of it, but still of the highest quality. The museum is mostly videos - one of which highli… Full review by abroadwithashley

This is a splendid little museum, something you should not miss. Outside it has a wonderful water tribute by Maya Lin. Inside there’s an extraordinary film about people working together, everyone, fo… Full review by Maynard M

Is there parking for a 36ft 5th wheel camper? We are heading to north Alabama Saturday, and we would love to stop to see the museum on our way.

we are visiting for 1 day on a Sunday. Are these 3 close together, and is it realistic to see them in one day ? Can you suggest which order we go in ? Civil Rights Memorial, Legacy Museum and National Memorial for Peace and Justice.

I'll be traveling through Montgomery on a Sunday, and I'm thinking of stopping at the fountain and the outside of the parsonage. Are there any memorials that are open on Sundays? Are there other things I can do with my kids? They have both seen A Long Walk Home and are fascinated (and horrified) by this chapter in our history. It seems a shame not to at least stop on our way to Missouri!

I would absolutely recommend a trip to the fountain outside the center, it was the most impactful part of the Center for me. I would also suggest a quick walk by the Greyhound station where the freedom riders where beaten, then straight up Dexter Avenue to the State Capitol Bldg. On your way there, the Dexter Ave (King Memorial) Baptist Church is on your right just before the capitol - MLK Jr was the head pastor at this church before he left for Atlanta to head the SCLC. The SPLC and fountain are about a block behind the church. Enjoy!
